Shanghai Municipal Commerce Commission, Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Shanghai Council for Promotion of International Trade jointly gave a reception in celebration of the Spring Festival at Pudong Shangri-La Hotel on January 19. Over 400 guests attended the reception, including foreign consular officials and representatives of foreign enterprises and joint ventures and foreign business offices in Shanghai. Vice-Mayor Ai Baojun delivered a New Year message expressing thanks to foreign friends for their contributions to Shanghai’s economic and social development in the past year and best festive wishes to them. Sha Hailin, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Fan Yufei, deputy director-general of the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Jian Heping, deputy director-general of the Shanghai Municipal Commerce Commission, were present at the reception.
