German Contemporary Artist Sabine Groten Launches her Exhibition

On October 17th, Charm of Modern Art ¡ª¡ª A Tour in Sabine Groten¡¯s Art was launched in Hongkong Plaza in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany. The event is co-hosted by the Shanghai People¡¯s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC), the People¡¯s Government of Huangpu District and Adam Schall von Bell Association for German Chinese Cooperation. Wang Xiaoshu, Executive Vice President of SPAFFC, Cao Jinxi, Deputy District Mayor of Huangpu District, Gudrun Lingner, Culture Consul of Germany in Shanghai, and Sabine Groten attended the inauguration ceremony and cut the ribbon.

The exhibition displays 16 pieces of work by Sabine Groten, a young German artist, and most of them are paintings of natural landscape, people and still life. Groten has hosted painting exhibitions in Germany and other countries for many times. She won the title of Growing Young Artist in the 2001 German Art Tour Exhibition and is now a signed artist of OMC Gallery for Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

The exhibition is open to the public for free.
