Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng met with a delegation led by Mr. Tony Browne, New Zealand's newly-appointed ambassador to China, at the city hall on March 22.

First of all, the mayor, representing the municipal government and the Shanghai people, warmly welcomed the distinguished visiting guests.

When describing for the guests the recent development and achievements of the city, Han indicated that the local government will focus on creating a favorable investment environment by establishing a self-contained legal system for foreign investors and further strengthening the communication and cooperation between New Zealand and the city in the aspects of economy, culture, education and public health.
